Working at de Hoge Rielen as a volunteer: it is great fun but also involves obligations. That's only logical. Also for our volunteers, we go for top quality to ensure that our guests always get the right service – both from our permanent members of staff and our volunteers.

Local volunteers

At de Hoge Rielen, we continuously have volunteers at work. That is a deliberate choice. Volunteers create a pleasant family atmosphere at the domain. Besides, thanks to the corresponding savings on our personnel costs, we can keep our rents lower.

European volunteers

Through the project of European Solidarity Corps, de Hoge Rielen brings in some helping hands as well as another culture.

Five foreign volunteers spend 11 months at de Hoge Rielen, they get to know the organisation, our country, our habits and our way of working. In exchange for board and lodging and a small allowance, they roll up their sleeves on our domain. You can read their blog about their stay at de Hoge Rielen / Belgium.
